Birthday Delivery Suite of Products

 Hello everyone!!

It's Friday already?! Time is going by way too fast lately! My parents are visiting and it feels like they just got here. It has been a fun visit. Last night we were at GlobalFest (fireworks festival in Calgary) and we are very tired today! I took today off from work to spend more time with them before they leave tomorrow.

Today I am back to showcase this amazing suite of products that is perfect for anyone in your life! There are endless creations you can make with these products! 

My son helped me pick out the elements I used for the first card. His favourite colour is blue if you couldn't already tell :) He loves sitting with mommy and being creative too! 


I was on an embossing kick when I was creating different cards so this card has some on the sentiment.  It is such a fun technique!! 

There is coordinating thinlits with these products so I used them to cut out the fox, banner and present.


The characters in this suite are so much fun and perfect for any age!


There is no coordinating thinlit for the bear so I had to fussy cut him out.

Embossing Resist Technique!

Good morning everyone!!

Who can believe we are already half way through August?! Where has the summer gone? I don't want the summer to end - next thing I know it will be my son's first day of preschool!

Today, I'm going to show you an awesome technique I tried for the first time - embossing resist!


It was very simple!

Here are the steps to recreating this card:

1. Rub your Stampin' Buddy over the watercolor paper.
2. Stamp your image using the VersaMark Ink and then shake the clear embossing powder over the ink.
3. Shake off excess powder and then use the heat tool to emboss.
4. Take your watercolor pencils and colour in the flower.
5. Use your aqua painters!
6. You're done! So simple to create this stunning effect!

Climbing Orchid Bundle

Hello everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend! I was pretty sick all weekend so couldn't really enjoy the weekend :( We did go out on Sunday to Fish Creek Park for a nice picnic. 

Today's card features a new bundle in the Annual Catalogue - Climbing Orchid. When I first saw the stamp set in the catalogue, I wasn't too excited about it. But then I saw some cards made with it and then I knew it was on my list to purchase!


 This card is so simple yet so elegant. The hardest part of this card was all of the cutting with the Big Shot that has to be done. Also those enamel dots I had were left over and are now unfortunately retired but you can definitely use pearls or rhinestones.

Since I haven't been feeling that great for the last few days, I haven't created anything new. That did change when I made a couple cards with my son the other night! I will post those soon because they both involve a technique I have not shared here yet!
