Share What You Love Cards!

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It was gorgeous in Calgary on Saturday but then it was cold and rainy on Sunday. We spent the day starting to paint the main living area in our condo and I am sooo excited to see everything all finished! We are trying to get some reno's done so we can sell it and move in to a bigger place! 

Today's post is going to be very full of photos but I am so excited to show off these creations! I used products from the Gotta Have It All Bundle that goes on sale to customers TOMORROW!! 

This was the first card I made with the products and it is my favourite! I am so glad that Mint Macaron is back! 

 For this card, I tried to keep it simple but still stepped it up by emobossing the sentiment. This card still packs a punch with the stamped images. To create the background, I inked up the stamp with Grapefruit Grove and then stamped it off on a scrap piece of paper then stamp it on to the piece of cardstock you are using to get this lighter colour. 

For my third card, I saw an example of someone else sponging the embossed flower image and I knew I had to give it a try. For the life of me I could not find my mini daubers, so I just used sponges. It came out darker than I was going for, but I still love the effect. The Blackberry Bliss twine that is used on the card is from another suite of products that will be available June 1st.

Now, for this fourth card, the sentiment is very special! This saying is Stampin' Ups statement of the heart. Brand New Pick A Pennant Stamp Set!

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying your week, especially those of you in Calgary where we finally have gorgeous weather!! 

I am going to show you a card using all brand new products from the new Annual Catalogue that goes live on June 1! I was very lucky to be one of the demonstrators that received this new stamp set at OnStage! There are so many possibilities you can do with this stamp set. For this card, I just decided to do happy birthday greeting but you can create any saying! The stamp set has 2 each of almost every letter, numbers and symbols - the possibilities are endless with what sayings you create!

This card is also giving a sneak peek of other brand new products and colours! The banner is stamped with the new colour Grapefruit Grove. The designer series paper background is the returning colour Mint Macaron.

  

For Stampin' Up's 30th anniversary, they decided to add pearl accents to some of the products. So the Designer Series Paper from the Share What You Love collection has a pearlized finish on some of the designs. The doilies used on the card also have the pearlized finish. And then there are brand new Artisan Pearls that come in 5 colours. 

The cards were assembled onto the Whisper White Narrow Note Cards that were released in the Occasions Catalogue and are carrying over into the Annual Catalogue. The card is actually smaller than it looks in pictures - the card size is 2.5" x 4.5"

April 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit - You Are My Anchor

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We had gorgeous weather in Calgary and we definitely took advantage of it on Sunday afternoon. We went to the baseball diamond by our house and played some baseball. Husband played with his drone and I flew a Superman kite! 

Today I am showing you April's Paper Pumpkin kit!

This kit is huge! There are supplies to make 20 cards with envelopes (5 designs and make 4 of each) plus 4 boxes to fit 5 cards each!! I love this theme and the colour combination!

Here is the 5 card designs and the box: 

There was a lot more than usual stamping to be done for this kit but totally worth it! I used my brand new Stamparatus tool to help make the stamping go quicker!

Sneak Peek - Delightfully Detailed Suite of Products

Hello everyone!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful week! I am back to give you another sneak peak of a brand new suite of products that is in the new Annual Catalogue! And it features 2 returning colours and a brand new In Colour!!

All demonstrators that attended OnStage were able to pre order from a select few product suites and the Delightfully Detailed suite was one of them.

I kept the cards pretty simple because I used the laser cut specialty paper for the background and I did not want to take away from them but rather use them as a focal point. 

In the Delightfully Detailed suite of products, there are note cards and envelopes that I had also used (the watercolour wash you can see in the background is printed onto the card bases).

Another trick for making quick cards, you can use the Memories and More card packs and cut up the cards to add elements which I have done here on 5 of the 6 cards. 

I love the font and sayings that were used in the stamp set! Did you also notice the cut punch out details on the sentiment pieces?! That is a brand new punch that has 3 punches in one!  

Also, with the laser cut specialty paper one side is Very Vanilla colour and the other is Whisper White! For the projects I created, I used the Very Vanilla colour since that was the colour of the card base.

Sneak Peak! Brand New Stamp Set Animal Outing

Hey everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, especially for those in Calgary where we finally got spring weather, but now we are back to winter weather with a snowfall warning :( We definitely tried to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible this past week. We took our son to the Supertrain model train show on Saturday and on Sunday he was finally able to go outside to ride his new bike he got for his birthday! 

Today's cards feature a stamp set that all demonstrators who attended OnStage received as a gift! I have seen so many cute examples already and couldn't wait to create something! I came up with 3 cards featuring each of the main images in the stamp set. 

Out of the 3 cards I made, this one I had the hardest time trying to think of a layout and colours to come up with. A wonderful resource that the Stampin' Up! team provided was a colour coach for all of the available colours. I looked through it and got some inspiration from that (Old Olive, Sahara Sand and Pacific Point).

I think the Rhino is my favourite of the 3 cards! I especially love this colour combination! 

 

I love the Koala bear hiding in the Kangaroo pouch and the frog on the tree branch (hiding behind my watermark!)

There is a whole suite of products that coordinate with this stamp set - designer series paper, thinlits and other matching embellishments.
