Abstract Impressions Fun Fold Card!

Happy Friday everyone!!
Finally the long weekend here in Canada! It's not going to be great weather wise but still cannot wait for the weekend. I am going to try to get some crafting done before the craziness starts while getting ready for our vacation.

Today's card is so much fun and I created it for a pretty special person. I've been wanting to do more fun folds instead of the traditional folds and this fold was really fun and easy to create!

I follow a few fellow demonstrators on YouTube and CASE'd this card from a video I will have at the end of the post.

I have been creating quite a few projects using the Abstract Impressions bundle. How can you not?! I love the paper and the stamps and the dies!

I added some wink of stella on the word Love and it made the ink run a bit but I still love the effect it created.

I love the inside sentiment!

The card does not lie flat on its own, so I used the polka dot ribbon to keep it closed.

Here is the video showing how to create the fold:

(I still have this paper and stamp set, so I might even recreate this one! I am so sad that it retired)

I think that is all for today!

Follow Your Dreams Dream Catcher Card

Hi everyone!
We are half way through the week and almost to the long weekend! We are officially counting down the last 2 weeks til we leave on our first family vacation!

Today's card is my favourite bundle from the new catalogue as I love everything dream catcher!

To create the card, I first grabbed the stamp set and then went through my Colour Coach (I will have a separate post on this soon, just have to take pictures) to find a colour combination. I new I wanted to use colours from the Subtle family and ended up choosing Blackberry Bliss, Pool Party and Highland Heather.

To create that effect behind the dream catcher, I used a stamp from the Artisan Textures stamp set. I inked it using Highland Heather, stamp it off once on scrap paper and then stamp it on to your cardstock you are using for the front.

This is the result!

There are still so many possibilities to make with this bundle!

I seriously can't stop looking at this card and just love how all the colours work well together.

I have two exciting promotions I will be posting about - they both start on July 1st so stay tuned to here and Facebook!

That's all for today.

Brusho Technique!

Hi everyone!
I have a very fun post for today with a really cool technique! This product first came out in the 2018 Occasions catalogue and was carried over in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue - it is called Brusho Crystal Colour. These are watercolour ink crystals - sprinkle them directly on water-washed paper and watch the colours burst!

I played with these crystals for the first time last week and ended up making 3 cards because I could not stop!

The first card, I water-washed watercolour paper and then shook on the red and blue crystals to create a really cool background.

For the next two cards, I did the same thing as above but then I used the big floral die from the Abstract Impressions bundle and cut it out.

Apparently I love copper accents! This card has 3 different copper accents - the metal leaves, copper embossing and copper ribbon! :)

This is definitely something you need in your craft stash! I already have more ideas on what to make using the Brusho.

I will have a shopping list for each of the cards and all the products I used on each at the end of this post.

You will want to stay tuned to the blog and my Facebook page for two exciting promotions that start on July 1st!

That's all I have for today - check back later for more posts this week!
