Lilypad Lake Bundle

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
It has been a very long week and I cannot wait to hopefully get some sleep this weekend LOL! I am very excited to pick up a box of brand new goodies tonight! This weekend is going to be filled with lots of creating and spending it with friends.

The cards I am showing today feature a bundle that I wasn't too sure about in the beginning but I am glad I ordered it. This bundle definitely got me out of my comfort zone! I created two simple looking cards but a lot actually went in to creating both of them.

For this first card, there was a lot of die cutting! I think my new favourite colour is going to be the blue that is featured in this card, called Balmy Blue. Creating this card was pretty straight forward. The dies that coordinate with the stamp set, there are two different size banners. I used the larger banner on this card and cut it out twice, once on Whisper White and the second time in Calypso Coral. I think cut the Calypso Coral banner in half and then adhered it to the Whisper White with a little bit of overhang on either side.

For the second card, I was scrolling through Facebook and saw a similar technique and I got up and went straight to my desk to get this idea out of my head. First, take your Stampin' Buddy and wipe it across where you are going to stamp. Next take the VersaMark ink and ink up the water stamp. Shake clear emboss powder over where you stamped and then take the heat tool and emboss the water.

After embossing the water, I took a sponge dauber and started with the darkest colour on the bottom, Blueberry Bushel. Then the next colour was Balmy Blue and finished with Pool Party. I also sponged the sun to go along with the other sponging on the card. I love the effect that the sponging over emboss powder gives.

The card with the boats would be a perfect card for any guy in your life. I have a hard time creating more masculine cards and this one is perfect and easy to replicate and change out the sentiments.

Love this bundle?

SHOP!

I will be back next week with some more projects that I will be creating over the weekend! I am going to try to get another scrapbook page done but a different version than the one I just posted last week, so stay tuned for that!

Talk soon,
Fallon
