Bingo, Coffee Break Card and a Ghost!!

Hey everyone,
Sorry I have been MIA lately... it's been a busy week and haven't had much time to create. Today's post is going to be longer than usual - so much to share with you all! :)

Sneak Peek!

I had made cards for my husband, my dad and my father in law but I still needed to make a card for my brother in law. I don't have options (still trying to build my inventory of supplies!) to create a more masculine card so I didn't think I would be able to make a card in time for Father's Day.

But I got lucky!! My team leader Allison had a bingo event on the Wednesday before Father's Day.

At each person's spot, we all got a welcome gift of a stamp set and a spool of baker's twine. At my spot, I got the Orange Blossom stamp set. It was stamp that I didn't really pay attention to in the catalogue but really glad I got it! I will have another post with a card made from that stamp set soon!

For bingo, we play 10 rounds of normal bingo with a chance to win brand new product from the catalogue. Then there is grand prize bingo where Allison had put together a bundle of products from the Naturally Eclectic suite on page 132-133 of the catalogue.

I wasn't doing too well for over half of the games so I didn't think I was going to win anything. But then I ended up winning two games in a row!!

One of the products I won was the Color Theory Designer Series Paper and Berry Burst Ribbon.

The second products I won were the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper and the Corrugated Embellishments.

When I won the Coffee Break paper I wasn't too excited about it because I'm not a big coffee drinker and it was just a suite of products that I didn't care if I got or not. But when I opened the paper and looked at it, I realized I could do more with it then just a coffee theme.

Also, during bingo we got to make 2 cards that just so happened to be using products that were part of the grand prize bingo. During bingo there was a thunderstorm and the power had gone out. It was while I was putting together the "I like you" card, so that was first! Thankfully the power wasn't out very long but it was a lot of fun and an experience I am sure I will not forget anytime soon.

Bingo nights are always my favourite event I always look forward to them!

Now on to today's card using the Coffee Break paper!

The wood grain background, the dots, the stripes and the coffee makers are all from the DSP!

I also added some elements to the inside of the card which is something I have started to do more.

Those little coffee cups are so cute!

I ended up having a lot of fun with this card! And if you haven't noticed - there was no stamping what's so ever on this card!!! The whole card except for the twine was made with only paper.

Well there is today's post! I have some more posts in the work for stuff I am working on so keep checking back!

Talk soon,
Fallon

PS. I have to show off a drawing my 3 yr old son did on his dad's father's day card! I'm so proud of this! I have noticed lately that he is actually trying to draw and it's not all just squiggles.

My son's drawing of a ghost that has eyes!
